Hi, I am another dissatisfied user of AOL and peak period capping.

I know this is occuring with a lot of suppliers, and saw a link for Sidnet which looks promising.

Any users with some feedback on there reliabilty here?

By the way, my exchange isn't unbundled, but am acheiving around 7 mb/s when not being throttled

There was someone complaining here http://www.ispreview.co.uk/talk/showthread.php?t=23732 that they cancelled his connection when he requested a MAC.

Definitely doesn't look like a company any sane person should add to their "Top 1000 ISP" shortlist

Er i suggest you read their site carefull and a few of their terms... Ill point this fubar out to start with..........
quote "Upload Speed 512 Kbps" ........ thats a very strange quoted upload rate for a MAX based product, shouldnt that say 448k ????

Oh and if you are looking at them cos they claim they are unlimited........ forget about it.... no BT product based provider can supply an upto 8Mb MAX service for under 30 quid a month and make it PROPERLY unlimited..... the service will either sooner or later have a cap put in place or its already contended to hell.

My advice dont touch them.
