You are stuck with the line rental while you use a BT line.

Look at the Virgin Media Cable bundles if you can get them in your area.

If i stay with ADSL, which I don't ind, any better value for money ISP's out there ?

You will see people recommending

NewNet, IDNet, and the EntaNet resellers.

I don't think you would go wrong with any of these. Look through their offers and pick one suitable to you. Most offer short or monthly contracts.

edited to add: the speed you get is determined by how good your BT line is.

SnowMunki - Following on from John2007 about what speed you could get, if you know how to get your line stats, (SNRM and Attenuation), feed them into here.

If you don't know how, ask again and we will help you on that.

Re possible suppliers, you have already had the best recommendations from the others, but you could also look at the Compare menu item on the left of the home page of this site.
