Pipex cancelled my account! Help with new ISP!

[link to this post]

Pipex sent me a letter today additionally an e-mail with a MAC Code. They said that they will cancel my account and that they can't provide me with the service anymore as I have download to much and I breached there Fair Usuage Policy.

Fair play as I always wanted to leave Pipex since I upgraded last year but couldn't due to the fact I was still in contract, which now I don't have to pay anything with 6 months still left.

My new problem is, is there any ISP out there which provides uncapped download limits? I'm currently paying

30GB a day is extreme, and it will be hard to find an ISP who will tolerate that. Fans of Be and Sky have said that they tolerate users topping several terrabytes per month, so you might want to look there.

If you like really bad customer service and 4.5 hours of speed throttling every evening you can try AOL, I don't think AOL have ever kicked anyone off for downloading too much and they do state that there is "no limit to the amount that you can download" in their fair use policy. The worse that can happen is that they throttle your speed in the evening, which they will probably do anyway.

I have looked at Be but all I can see is the 24Mb service which my local exchange doesn't support. Do they offer the 8Mb service that I accidently missed?

30Gb per day is a bit extreme but I suppose it's not everyday ... I say 100Gb per week would be about right.

I don't mind paying a bit extra and as long as they don't cut me off randomly for no reason, which Pipex did for a while. I wouldn't bother calling the customer service anyway.

How much are you willing to pay for such an excessive download limit?

Andrew.

A quick glance at the AOL forum would suggest that this is no longer a safe haven for heavy users.

Best to avoid any ISP that inflicts traffic shaping/hidden caps/sends out FUP warning letters.

The KeConnect package looks pretty decent. Is anyone on the UKFS ISP? There off peak browsing seems like a good idea.

Just received an e-mail from UKFS regarding if they have a Fair Usuage Policy on there unlimitied packages "We do operate a fair usage policy but as our download monthly allowance is 500GB, we describe this as unlimited." At
