Isp for single user residential

I had my own flat 3 years ago for just over a year and was happy with Entanet and Vivaciti then moved to a big town and got Be/O2 then moved after a year to student accomodation in a different town with very slow Tiscali that dies often or is like 1/10th dial up speed.

So im moving to my own flat but LLU isnt available in the area so is Entanet still the best bet as I heard that off peak is now from midnight and though I doubt id be hitting the 30 gig limit often let alone the 300 gig I do most of my downloads in the day right now as im a student so have early classes and hate leaving PC on when not in use.

They're having some speed & ping issues (but still far better than the likes of Tiscali).
But as it's a rolling one month contract, you can get out at anytime (and once you've paid one connection fee, there's only migration to deal with).
From March, they are implementing new packages.
One of the changes, you've already spotted (which is peak time now extends to midnight, but they've relented on making weekend daytime also peak time - that's not going to happen now).
The other change is the 300GB off-peak allowance now disappears, and is replaced with unmetered usage during off-peak hours (so a 24Mbps connection now has a limit of about 3TB - although you'll probably be put into the bad-boy group if you get anywhere near that).

Depending on your expected monthly usage, maybe look to some of the more expensive ISPs offering 1 month contracts (IDnet, Zen, Newnet, etc.) if your usage is below 20-30GB.
Or, maybe look to one of the premium Plusnet packages (but the 1 month versions!!!!), but these will cost maybe £10 a month more than Entanet.

Whatever you do, under no circumstances go for a 12 month contract with any ISP using BT wholesale products, because they can deteriorate too quickly, and take too long to fix, and you'd be locked in (or have a massive exit fee to pay).

Above 20GB Newnet is uncompetitive compared with Zen and IDNet. Also Newnet count upload and they don't.
