On Pipex, may have to change ISP, advice needed

Been with Pipex for years so a bit out of touch with what is out there now. I am on a rural exchange so no LLU and bad line (53db attenuation, better than 12 db s/n typical). Don't download much (<30Gb per month) but play on line games. Also, son is addicted to WoW.

I haven't changed ISP because I am on a fixed 2MB line which is stable and I am worried about interleaving if I change.

If the family are denied a responsive web service I will be toast.

Could anyone recommend a few sound ISP's who will be around for a while and may allow control over the dreaded interleaving.

What do you mean by responsive?

Have a look at the likes of NewNet, Zen, and IDNet, but depending on your current deal you may be better off staying with the Devil you know.

I believe that providers who still offer the 2mb fixed services are one of the best known. When I was with AOL they were amazing, never needed support, everything just worked. If you can manage on 2mbps then I suggest you stick with them. But if you're wanting more speed (8mbps) then tread carefully. The big names, Tiscali, VirginMedia e.t.c are ones to steer clear.

Just that it is there when wanted, doesn't slip to modem speeds and moves the aim point with teh mouse !

IDNET seem to attracting many ex Pipexers. They all seem to be very satisfied with them. Freindly, personal and helpful. Give them a look and only a 1 month contract.
