Recommendation for Sky Connect replacement?

[link to this post]

I have Sky Connect at the moment and it's absolutely woeful - practically unusable between 5pm and midnight and at weekends - a complete waste of money in otherwords.

Can anyone recommend me an ISP that will give me consistent bandwidth all the time? I'm not that bothered at massive speeds, I think the max I can get where I am is 2Mb anyway, I just don't want the massive slow down I get with Connect.

I am a moderate downloader, probably up to 20GB a month so want something that doesn't throttle me when I go over a moderate limit.

I am on the Sturry (NDSTU) exchange.

If you normally stay a fair bit under 20GB (including uploads) then Newnet Home S. Though from the tone of your post I think you may have trouble doing that and you don't want the hassle of watching the usage that closely.

The two good ones with decent peak time allowance are IDNet and Zen. They don't count upload either, nor do the next one.

The good one with a very small Mon-Fri daytime allowance but big off-peak and a short night-time unmetered period is AAISP.

See these comparisons. When you consider that the Sky rating includes all the high ones I expect the LLU product gets you must be having a dire time as you say.

Entanet resellers such as vivaciti and ADSL24 are worth considering as your exchange is not WBC enabled, and that is where most of the current problems seem to lie. You would be on IPSC and that seems fairly well sorted now. Or else all the complainers died of grief or left tongue. Vivaciti also offer a non-Enta package Surfwise 75.

You may get someone recommending Plusnet Unlimited. take a look at the expected speeds on this page. They don't throttle you - they throttle everybody!
