Ring both!

As IDNet about the bad reviews - as you can see the ones here are basically good and every ISP has the occasional problem - both technical and obstreperous customers.

Ask xilo/uno about their non-LLU service in general - I'm sure you have some questions, like off-peak allowances etc.

That should give you a feel for both.

Find that post with the link to Fast and give me a link to the post.

is the reason they charge a setup fee regardless of whether you have a MAC or not

Not exactly.. those are the costs BT charge.. so we pass that on. Some people choose to take that on as part of gaining a customer, some discount, some apply long term contracts and some just charge at cost.

We do the latter...

Re-reading Xilo's terms I think they do have free off peak usage... can anyone confirm this? Also, what does... Uno and Fast ISP's have to do with Xilo?

Nothing smile Fast are another independent ISP, likely to also *provide good service to their customers but i'm not sure why you think we're related?

Matt,

If you follow the link in your signature, and then click through to the Xilo site, then the title of the tab that opens up is 'Fast Broadband Internet Access' - depending upon how many windows you have open, you might just see 'Fast Broadband' and think that's the (company) name!

Thanks Matt for taking the time to reply. The "fast" thing was down to me not looking properly at all the windows I had open. So you dont have anything to do with Xilo either? I assumed you worked for Xilo when I seen you replying to other threads about Xilo. I'm going to sleep on it and decide who to go with in the morning. Thanks again.

Wasn't a big problem to me... £11 is hardly a deal breaker... but thanks for explaining the charges.
