Yes their installation charge for new lines is £69
In reference to www.primusconnect.co.uk/:
Installing a phone line with Primus Saver - £69
If your house doesnt have a phone line then you will need to have one installed. Primus will install a new line in your property for the amazing price of just £69. We can book a line installation appointment and an engineer will visit your home on a date that is convenient to you.

However reading through MSE doesn't look good

Also "Beware, calls to mobiles, particularly those on the '3' network, are expensive abd Caller Display is an extra £2.50/month."

Plusnet charge £49.99 to provide a new line - http://www.plus.net/info2/legal/price_guide.html

If it is Fleet exchange then it's Market 3 which makes the broadband cheaper.

I've been with them for a while now and am very happy.

In reply to a post by Anonymous:
My sister has recently moved into a new flat, and needs an ISP & Phone service for the place for the place.

As the flat is new, there's no telephone line and the postcode is only recognised in a few systems.

Price is a main point, as there's not a lot of money available but she doesn't want to spend too little and get a really bad service.

So what would you recommend? She needs a service which offers a new line installation, and a bundled ISP and Phone service.

Many Thanks
J

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre. Live BQM.

Youre right, TalkTalk has the lowest charges £29.99 for new line, not very happy with the TalkTalk £50 fee for credit check, but I like the 40 Gig and 80Gig usage allowance. smile

The small print
*New lines free connection discounted to £29.99, usually £79.99, only available to new customers signing up for Essentials or Plus on TalkTalk through our Inbound Sales Call Centres. Newline subject to credit check £50 free connection credit will be applied on the 1st or 2nd bill. Offer ends 15/03/11.

https://sales.talktalk.co.uk/products/broadband/new-...

There is a catch with the BT offer; to pay for and to qualify for the 12 months reduced line rental they want £120 upfront. frown
