Is from the master socket! I'll try it with the sky box out etc. Sort of rules out a bad filter!

I've seen others say they have got away with not having the Sky box plugged into the phone. even with multiroom

That aside, try double filtering it i.e. connecting 2 filters in series

Well certainly a wiring or Sky box problem!

That "Max" is what I would expect on that attenuation. In fact it is exceptionally good. You won't get quite that actual connection on a speed-uncapped service, but not far off.

As nredwood says except:-

1) Remove all ring wires. That's the T3 connections. In fact remove all except T2 and T5. Sometimes others are connected and although in theory they make no difference, in practice very occasionally they do.

2) Just replace the Sky box filter and see if that helps. The existing one may simply have failed - this often happens. My point being double filtering using a dead one won't significantly improve on replacing it.

3) Double filter it as she suggests, perhaps even if replacing helps. Just play it according to what you observe.
