As the phone line is a WLR then you would not do a RTD you would just place an order to move your phone line, thats all, no down time at all.

As vivaciti says smile. I was tired last night and Return to Donor is not the right request in this case, that is for when the phone is on LLU. I realised after I had shut the computer down and was getting ready for bed. Though even RTD from LLU doesn't cause a cease of broadband, unless perhaps it was from TalkTalk. Several have done it from Sky LLU.

(Unfortunately BT errors and mistakes can always occur, with any change to anything frown).

Be careful that you ask BT to take over the the rental of the existing phone line though. Don't accidentally order a second line.

You could even ask vivaciti to take over the line rental, as they would allow Be broadband on it and your choice of FTTC ISP when it becomes available to you.

Leaving the phone with Plusnet doesn't appeal? That is the simplest of all if they allow it, as I suggested before.

Throughput on Be is normally 83-84% of sync. (As soon as that sync is achieved). The missing amount is unavoidable TCP/IP and ATM overheads. These are to some extent why the BT IP Profile is so much lower than the sync, as the ATM overheads (I think) are catered for within that.

IP Profiles of course only work at that level at the bottom of a band. If your sync is near the top of a band the penalty is far greater. They also have the delay in rising and aggressive noise management that Be doesn't.

Yes, it would generate a cease. It takes between 4-10 working days.
Rubbish.
Well that's what BT told me when I asked them last week. That's why I'm waiting till next week to do the order...

I'm completely lost now. I made a mistake in my terminology to the OP, as already posted, but what order you are talking about I have no idea. If it is an LLU phone line of your own you are talking about, which is what RTD is about, then it seems to depend on who you are leaving.

I have seen people leave Sky MPF for SMPF with no trouble, then migrate away from the Sky LLU. I don't think that can be done with a TalkTalk-based MPF service.

As for believing what BT phone support say .... I'm sure you know better than to accept everything without question tongue.

That sync speed is a bit low for 24db atten. You should be syncing anywhere between 18-20 meg, try a different router and if necessary plug it into you master test socket to check if your extensions (if any) are causing problems.
