Re: Best gaming isp in slough

My connection with Xilo has been quite stable, perhaps as good as it was with UK Online (that was one of the best but they shut thanks to Sky).

For a year I was on Xilo's 'Pro 16 Home LLU (Cable & Wireless)' deal for £17.99/mo inc. vat. It only ever went down once for 2 days but it was BT's fault as my phone line just went dead for 2 days. Anyway, two months ago I was moving home so I cancelled and moved to a property where I was hoping FTTC would be enabled. Unfortunately it wasn't.

After a lengthy search for the right ISP and the right deal, I went back to Xilo again, but this time on their cheaper deal, 'Be Pro 16 Home (Be Unlimited)' for £14.99/mo and it's just as good as the previous deal: just plain fast broadband with no restrictions.

Ahh yes those where the days Ukonline everything apart from their filtering (iwf) that never worked properly was really good,

the support way ahead of other isp's ,you would not get your connection if it was troublesome ,tweaked by a trained engineer with any other isp and that probably still stands now, but i see resellers like xilo to be the way forward, the big isp's are maybe just too big ,
Shame that o2 customers cant migrate onto the be wholesale service with xilo, there are others who can offer this, but they don't seem to have the good reputation that xilo have

Several people joined Be when UKOnline closed, and reported Be was better latency.

Whether the Xilo Be Wholesale connection uses the Be network, or just the DSLAM and some other backhaul, I don't know.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre. Live BQM.
