It's got more complicated, in any event. Be advised me that I'd have to contact BT to get them to re-activate the line. BT then told me that because I'd be paying line rental to Be, it would be them that would have to re-activate the line (using an Openreach engineer, obviously). I then phone Be back and they told me that this wasn't the case, but this time round they made me aware that I had a choice between BT and the Post Office with regards to having the line re-activated. I've since phoned the Post Office and they are going to re-activate the line for me, at a cost of £60 rather than the £130 or so that BT were going to charge. When this is done - I'm expecting a call back from the Post Office later today - I'll got back to Be and sign up for their broadband service.
