A lot of the appointments we are seeing for new line install is running at around 31st Jan, so that does not sound too far out. Talk Talk could just be quoting the standard lead times.
If the property was recently having a phone line and as long as it was not a full LLU line you should be able to do a re-start.
If you are not sure you are being given the right info, drop us a PM with the new address and we can look it up for you and see what the first OR appointment is for you (dont worry we wont place any orders) at least then you will know who is telling porkies and who is not.

Looks like sky are the ones telling you the truth.
The first Openreach appointment slot is ether an AM or PM on the 32st Jan (the calendar is a live feed so is accurate when accessed.
There are no lines showing that can be re-started and no active working lines so it would have to be a new line activation I am afraid.

B@gger! frown

That is a huge problem as we rely on the phone line for 99% of our shopping and care/support needs frown

I know it does seem like a long time, but it is not that much over the standard lead times when you take the Christmas week out of the equation.
Sorry the news was not much better but at least you know who is telling the truth.

In reply to a post by vivaciti:

That probably explains quite a few of Openreach's missed appointments.

Which just leaves the choice of ISP!

Only LLU providers are TalkTalk, Sky or AOL (TalkTalk?), is there any benefit in LLU if the exchange is 21CN WBC enabled?.

I know LLU isn't tied to bRAS profiling but what about 21CN WBC?.
