Whoever you decide to go with, it is essential that they are listed as a member of an Ofcom Approved ADR.

This is a regulatory requirement of all providers. Even systemless resellers.

Curiously, some correspondents of this forum routinely recommend players who are not listed as members of an Ofcom approved ADR and as such these providers are already outside of the rules on day one of your contract.

So if things go wrong, you have no recourse to the official channels and you will get no meaningful help from those on the forum who recommend them.

You can check who is a member of an Ofcom approved ADR here.

You are pretty safe in checking the Ofcom list.

However, I would agree with RobertoS that it is important to check thoroughly that any potential provider is regulatory compliant.

Particularly when taking advice from forum members who routinely recommend providers who are outside of Ofcom ADR rules yet will not be able to help should things go wrong.

Nobody will help, it will just become a pointless forum war with your money lost. It is vital that your provider of choice is compliant.

You can check if any potential provider is a member of an Ofcom Approved ADR by either checking the ofcom link or the two official scheme's member lists.

Yet only three days ago vivaciti say they use Ombudsman Services. (I wish this dashed spell-checker didn't always turn the "i" to a "y" frown !)

Perhaps they are 1 update short of approval? Or could that be a coincidence?

I am the dashed spell-checker grin!
