So what happens if you're on BT for your phone but use TT at the exchange for broadband (smpf). Can you migrate then? Is it just fully unbundled lines that you cant?
Was looking at Xilo Pro which uses TT LLU

Could you not migrate to Xilo on their BT offering?

If you have your phone with someone else and are using TTB LLU (SMPF), you can migrate to us on any product with a MAC.
The old issue of TTB > TTB migrations (SMPF) is no longer an obstacle.
Migrating from TTB MPF isn't something we can do at this time though.

Thanks. Just something im looking into if coms dont improve soon. Does your LLU service work in the same way as it does with adsl24/coms? As in you use the TT equipment at the exchange but goes over your own network?

Migrating from TTB MPF isn't something we can do at this time though. Could you please explain why - I apologise for being stupid, but I just do not understand. Am I correct in saying that to join Talk Talk (or one of the companies using a TTB LLU) from Talk Talk (or one of the companies using a TTB LLU) you have to go through the hassle and expense of rejoining BT?

Looks like there will be a few of us in this odd situation.
So the only way to be released is going to cost more money, think this should be explained before moving over to LLU service and certainy warned about difficulties changing to another ISP

Yep, I am in this situation too, yet I was assured by James (ADSL24) when i first ordered fully unbundled phone/LLu that this would NOT be a problem. I have been very patient with Coms up until now but this throttling is the last straw.
I dont use my connection for streaming movies or whatever, but general surfing, my sons gaming, but I do download stuff via P2P occasionally., But too have my already slow (long line) rural connection throttled back even more is unacceptable. Seems Coms are putting 2 fingers up, to my mind.

The whole fully unbundled scenario that some of us are facing is weird and seems counter-intuitive.
Re Coms throttling, I remember them saying at the time of the takeover that they would not throttle. See this page: https://adsl24.co.uk/faqsection.html. Specifically this:
Will there be any traffic shaping on the Coms network?
A: No. Coms appreciates the need for transparent services and the network is free from FUP and traffic shaping.
Poor show all round.

MrKomodo - I mentioned in the other thread but coms shot themselves in the foot when doubling (or even more in some cases) peak usage allowance and cutting peak hours from 8-midnight to 8-8.
What we're finding now is users have such a large download limit and with offpeak ending sooner, they using p2p/usenet sooner and during busy times on the network. They probably didnt expect that when giving us those usage limits, but i think thats what allowed adsl24 to not throttle

I'm on their LLU so not effected by peak offpeak so does that mean what they've done is let people's offpeak usage start at 8pm? If so, that's pretty silly, it's no wonder they feel forced into traffic management. I guess it's good for streamers but really, they shouldn't have to throttle p2p stuff to 100kbps at peak times.
