Well we don't know how bjg the mass exodus is. Coms bought thousands of connections from adsl24, we are just a vocal few

Can you drop me a PM with your telephone number, as we have had a few of these questions raised we are looking to see if we can put something in place to resolve the issue.
I've been contacted by email from your team, so we'll see how things go. Thanks.

Just had a look at the coms site, seems odd that I could not see an option for adsl and phone line package like I'm currently stuck on. Could this be a coincidence? Maybe they want to get rid of us?

Yes they have, " Coms Complete Dsl 100" is the package we are on. "Coms dsl" is broadband only. Seems they have upgraded their website since I last looked at it, but it is still as clear as mud.

If that is the same as what I've got, looks like they don't like to explain much about it

As I suspected. Traffic Shaping. Thank you coms for informing your userbase. My downloads have slowed to a mere 20kbs, disgusting! I haven't seen such speeds since the days of dial up. And I'm nowhere near my monthly allowance, just 11gb so far.

Well, I'm off. I feel a fool for sticking around this long. I should have left before Christmas when the writing was on the wall.

And I'm in the same boat as others, have my phone and broadband with adsl24. Now on LLU TTB with this joke of a company.

MrKomodo I suspect you are on the full LLU service with Coms. Your broadband service and more importantly your telephone service shares the same non-BT equipment.

Your telephone line must be returned back to being a BT line before you can order some broadband services.

Until recently most ISP's such as Xilo would only accept orders on lines which were BT lines.
That meant that you had to cancel your service with your current full LLU provider and then once the service has ceased the line could then be picked up by a new ISP as a BT line and an order for broadband placed on it. That meant a few days with no service.

However, legislation is going through which will enable ISP's to pull your line away from the full LLU provider.
This service is already available from BT (if you want BT Broadband / BT Infinity fibre) and I believe Vivaciti may be offering it too.
Other ISP's will follow suit very shortly.
This method will ensure virtually no downtime.
