The Phone Co-op

Who are these guys, and is anything known of them? I've just had my service transferred to them by Namesco....

I've been a Phone Co-op customer for over a year and have my landline and broadband (ADSL2) service with them. I have found them to be excellent - UK based CS always very helpful, although to be honest I've only ever had to call them to add extras such as u/l downloads, reduction in NM and addition of static IP address - no reliability or other issues at all. They run on the TT network from my unbundled exchange and speeds are always excellent. Probably not as cheap as TT direct but perhaps without the hassle and supporting a Cooperative. They are affiliated to, although independent of the Cooperative group. Hope this helps.

Only for mobile, not BB.

Yep! EE/Orange/T-Mobile fibre and ADSL2+ home broadband service is run on the BT Wholesale network.

I have my mobile with Phone Co-op. It is independent, not part or a sub-brand of EE. It is an MVNO that bulk buy telecommunications services from, for example, EE and sell the service to end customers. It started up to help third sector organisations to purchase collectively and get cheaper wholesale prices http://www.thephone.coop/about-us/who-we-are/history/

Funny you missed that bit out

Phone-coop us BT and the talk talk network. there are a few red chilly connections from the namesco take over.

I use to do their out of hours support.
