SKY Broadband

Just been offered SKY Broadband 25gb , line rental and unlimited calls for £28 a month on a 18 mnth contract.

What are SKY like?

Not sure on how good but £28 for 25GB sounds terrible. Unless you dont download much, stream or play games that wont be enough

AWFUL deal. Even BT unlimited would average cheaper considering cashback!

Always a good idea to go for unlimited broadband, especially on an 18 month contract. You may not use it initially but a few months down the line you'll need unlimited as you find new uses.

£30 should get you unlimited with BT or others inc line rent and a free call deal plus cashback

Care re connection charge which in some cases can be £50 +

Or wait for the offer cycle which has periodic free activation deals and sometimes these combine with a lower price and cashback/reward

Is the monthly 25GB usage allowance enough for your broadband needs?

I was looking at getting Sky on a residential package, but they don't appear to have a sales line that is manned properly and the wait time is over 30 minutes. The chat line is also busy and not responding.

It looks like they don't really want new customers. If its as difficult as this to get through when you are trying to buy something god only know what is must be like if you have to sort out a problem.

my current retention deal on sky is about £30 a month for sky fibre unlimited pro and line rental. So that deal I think is poor. But I dont have unlimited calls, so depends how much you value that part of the package I suppose.
