No One Internet

[link to this post]

Has anyone had any experience of No One Internet (formerly Trunk Networks) please? I am trying to decide whether to switch to them from Zen once my contract ends, as their price for Full Fibre 900 is almost the same.

I would not normally reply to my own post, but I recently sent some queries to No One Internet, and thought that the answers may be of interest to other potential customers:

Zen are currently using TalkTalk Business for my backhaul. Whose backhaul would you use if I switch to you? - We use a variety of carriers to backhaul and could use TalkTalk Business to backhaul you too.
What resilience and contention does your core network have? - Full redundant 100Gb between core nodes.
Do you do any traffic shaping? - No.
Do you block any ports? - No.
Can I have static IPv4 and IPv6 addresses? - Yes.
What hours does your technical support team operate? - 08:30-17:30 M-F.
Can you tell me your average call wait time and ticket response time? - We have very low call waiting times, ticket response is within 4 hours.
What functionality is available via your Customer Portal? - Limited functionality, invoices mainly.
Is the price for your packages fixed for the duration of my contract with you? What happens to the price at the end of the contract? - Price stays the same and you switch to a rolling monthly contract. No price increases.
Would there be any charge for switching to you? I do not need you to supply me with a router. - Openreach will charge us £50 install migration, we pass this on but we would give you a £50 router credit.

Would it be worth switching if you are happy with Zen to pay almost the same price?

Thanks
Dan

Some people have complained that Zen's support is going downhill. I have to weigh up whether that is enough to make me want to switch to a smaller ISP or not.

Thanks for posting that information as I was wondering about them as well.

I guess the question is, do they use Zen to backhaul, is that in their "variety"? You might end up with the same or similar product, with some issues just being passed from No One to Zen support and back again, so you have a man in the middle potentially making things slower to resolve than faster? I would get them to confirm that Zen is not involved anywhere. I'm finding with IDNet using Zen backhaul, they can't do anything to stop it behaving just like a Zen product.

They did say that they could use TalkTalk Business for my backhaul. It will either be them or Aquiss that I move to once my contract with Zen ends.

Yes they use TalkTalk Business backhaul. They couldn't offer me because they stopped using G.fast service. They only do FTTP. That's why I went to UnchainedISP as they use TalkTalk Business backhaul for my G.fast service.
