12 years with Plusnet FTTC here.
Support is basic but I don't need it, the service is 24*7 which is all I ask of my ISP.

Same here, nine years on PN FTTC 40/10, few months ago to FTTP 80/20 at £27.50 pm. Only downtime in all those years was three hours due to server issue in September.

If you are looking for FTTP and don't have any altnet provision, only OR, then rule IDnet out. IDNet are single sourced on Zen wholesale for OR FTTP connections. The ZenW network is just too flaky to be able to recommend

FibreHeros just set up FTTP down our street and I switched from AA to IdNet/Fibreheros (running on OR fibresJ very pleased with performance and price. Situation is changing very fast so check with actual ISP companies to see what is available.

Yeah that rather shocked me. I'm currently with IDNet and I thought they were expensive at £41 line rental + SOGEA.

I was with them for a few years but I got sick of fighting them every time multithreaded speed tests played up. Plus they took so damn' long to introduce IPv6 (have they even done it yet?) that I lost all confidence in their technical competence.

If I remember correctly they ran an IPv6 beta program for a while then when they initiated an overhaul of their network they closed down the beta and the resulting much vaunted new network only supported IPv4.

I went with Aquiss about 8 months ago. There was a network blip a little while back that caused high latency which caused problems with conferencing calls and network slow downs, it lasted about a day I think and seemed to be something in one of the interconnects, Aquiss were good but I think in this case it was one of their suppliers that had the issue. Other than that the connection has been good and is a fair price.

I was with Aquiss for a year and they were very good (although FTTP but can't see FTTC being an issue) and would've stayed but had to move providers on request of work who cover my broadband costs as part of my contract.
