Rather than me create a new post I was going to ask about what routers Youfibre have for the 1Gbps service.

I was supplied with their Arris router when I had the 1Gbps service installed a few weeks ago. I can't say much about it as it only came out of the box to prove the service worked and then went away again as I'm using my existing UDM Pro.

You will likely get a Aaris if you have the phone service, Jeremy is currently rolling out Sagemcom, it has been in the works for a good bit of time now, I met up with him last year and we discussed it.

If i recall the Sagemcom kit is currently WiFi 7 for the faster 8Gbps service to replace the Asus router they deploy for that level of service.

The lower tiers will likely be replaced next for standardization but from the sounds of it, it is only in some areas at the moment. I suspect they will use up the old stock first as its still decent kit and works well, at least in my experience.

Many Thanks,
RR-THE-IT-GUY

So, still not ready yet. I saw a contractor on Friday wiring up a device. What is it, and am I any closer to going live?

Every day you are a day closer to going live - *if* it ever does. There are plenty of tales of fibre builds being abandoned part way through.

When it's available to order, it's available. That's the only thing you can count on.
