windows 7 prices

[link to this post]

A guy in PCWorld has just told me that the price of a Home Premium upgrade (from vista) will be going up from approx £70 to over £100 at the end of the month. He was a bit of a nerd so I'd be interested to know if any of you folk can confirm/deny.
Having just bought kaspersky 2010 I now find that PCW now have it for half price - it's the story of my life.

So any other recommended W7 sources, please?

Hmm. So you don't trust nerds to give you accurate information but you ask for confirmation in a forum full of them? tongue

At least the nerds here aren't, normally, trying to sell you something and, overall, are likely to have a broader experience than someone working in PC World wink

Quick question because I haven't quite got my head round it - does the upgrade version require a pre-installed copy of Vista, or can I install W7 on a blank HDD, just providing the Vista serial or disc?
