FakeAlert.5 Virus

[link to this post]

Hi All,
I just got attacked today by the FakeAlert.5 virus (about 5.18PM) and My new computer has been disabled.

My antivirus software, Bulldog, seems to have detected the virus and has labelled hundreds of my system files ( mostly .exe files and installers) as infected and is stopping them from working. So no programs are working. I googled the virus and it seems to be infecting win 7 64 bit systems

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Will a system restore work

cheers

Mr T

Yes it looks like it. So I am not alone.

I can confirm that the problem also exists with Bulldog internet security.

I hope they issue a fix by tomorrow or I will buy another AV program, uninstal bulldog and demand a refund!
