Windows 8 Windows Update Weirdness

My anti-virus program was kind enough to say that my system isn't update to date, so going into the Update system in Metro, I am presented with :

Metro Update

However, in the desktop update I get :

Desktop Update

It looks like the Metro one is very selective about what it thinks is an update...
