[link to this post]

Wedbmin/Virtualmin Alternatives for Windows..

does anyone know of any half decent ones?

Virtualmin lets me install and manage multiple websites on linux and id like to have that function on windows.

Currently using XAMPP but I can not get SSL to work. It looks like I need .crt files but im only getting .pem files from lets encrypt.

Thanks

Use WSL2 to run the AMP stack then you can run Webmin, or any other Linux tools.

On any machine with OpenSSL installed this should do that.

openssl x509 -outform der -in your-cert.pem -out your-cert.crt

Will that work with me running this in a VM? Can you even run a VM in a VM?

Should do. You can certainly run a VM within another VM.

I've never had to go that far. but I frequently run qemu in a Linux VM on Mac OS. In that case it doesn't even have to be the same processor family as the host.
