MSN messenger sound

Lets say sorry to start with here..total beginer..but why every does every time my daughter talk with her penpal via web cam on MSN messenger.... after she has finished my sound then sounds like its in an echo chamber..i'vel looked everywhere to try and resolve it but allas can,t find what to do...so I resort to system restore..surely theres an easy way?....but why does MSN leave my sound like an echo chamber....any hints or advice lease guys...Cheers

in control panel - go to "Sounds and Audio devices", on the sounds tab - there will be a section called MSN messager. It is probably setup in there. Alternatively it might just be one of the standard Windows ones

i would have thought that you have some sort of reverb enabled on your sound cards mic out, what sound card do you have?
