Updates, 161 MB ?

Hi,

Just set up a new XP Pro machine, Microsoft updates totalled 161MB inc a few for Office and IE7, SP2 was only about 90MB when I updated my old laptop 18 months ago. Perhaps MS should release SP3 incorporating all updates to date.

SP3 was due this year - is now due next. When it does arrive is anyone's guess.

Since Vista is now out probably never is my guess.

SP3 is planned for Q1 2008 according to Microsoft's Product Lifecycle website: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/lifecycle/servicepacks.mspx
