The update for 1.1 installed ok but the update for 2.0 didn't. Further investigation revealed that this is due to the disk space requirements for the update (my PC had 350MB of free disk space on C: and it still wouldn't install!).

May or may not be the case for yourself but worth checking.

Glad it installed OK for you VW, it's a mystery because out of 3 comps I have it doesnt install on any of them.

Got plenty of FREE disk space Babylon so can't be that, thanks anyway.

What I normally do is permit any critical updates to install.

I then install any software/hardware updates afterwards.

I usually reboot between each "batch" even if Windows doesn't suggest it.

Define "plenty". I thought that 350MB was "plenty" (for a single update at any rate) but computer says no!

My advice would be to find and download the single update file for the update that is failing and try installing via that method. It's likely to give you more of an idea of what is failing and why.

Ah well, not disk space then! Funnily enough I freed up about 3MB more and the install worked.

You can download the specific update for .Net from here. Be sure to pick the correct version of .Net and the OS you're using.

Good luck!!
