Does Vista SP2 exist in a release form yet?

Hi all,

What is the current state of Vista SP2?
Is there a release candidate which is unlikely to change before actual release?
Does Vista SP2 (actual DVD) exist yet?

Yup, it's in RC status.

Do you think it's safe to install this with the assumption that it will be identical to the actual release?

I personally don't touch RCs unless there's a really good feature I want.

As Camie says, I'd hold off now unless you have some sort of problems which you think SP2 might cure.

iirc there was a problem with the RC of SP3 for XP which caused a few problems when upgrading to the final
