I have been looking into 2 things which I have always wondered about.
When we do a clean Vista installation we get the format option but is a quick one and no option for a full format.I have googled round and not got much positive back on this.I read it may be possible to do a full format through a command prompt on the Vista dvd's recovery/repair section.Lol one post said a full vista format writes 0's to the drive,so finding if you can do a full format in vista is tricky.
Also I always wondered about old viruses/trojans on formatted drives as formatting doesn't wipe drives so in theory the viruses are still there. So to make sure maybe a low level format or something like a sweep using Dareks nuke and boot should do the trick.
Any thoughts or views on this?
