Not that I know of, we have Office XP working well with a PC running Vista Business that we use on the bench. No problems so far............ (been running for about three months now).

I had that problem with Outlook when I was running XP.

I swapped Outlook to Windows Live Mail when I moved to Vista.

Same look and feel - and that randomly loses the passwords as well.

Not every time, seemed fairly random, just click accept and it seems fine. You don't need to retype the password. Just make sure you have "remember password" checked on the account parameters.

Not a problem -- just a pain in the .......

I have not had this problem with any version of Outlook.
I currently run 27 separate domain email addresses from one Application of Outlook and I have never seen this problem.

Are you sure it is not server related? Just because it baulks your password "occasionally and randomly" doesn't mean to say that it is Outlook doing this, it could equally be the server.

Our mail servers require an extra level of authentication to log in too, as well as being signed by Comodo signatures, so I would have thought that if anything was flakey about Outlook it would have shown up on my main PC, but to date, nothing.

Edit to add
Although having said that, it did have that problem once, with all the accounts, but I hadn't set them up correctly. As soon as I went into the "advanced" settings and did it properly it went away and has never returned, just thinking out loud here, so yes I did have it when I first set it up, but that was my fault, since the settings have been correct I have not had this problem! Nor have any of my clients come to think of it, otherwise some of them would have been on the phone at a drop of a hat, we have a freephone support number for our clients, worst move we ever made, slightest hickup and they are on the phone, but we can't take it away now!

Trevor
