Outlook Error Code 0x800CCC0F

[link to this post]

A brief question in the hope that someone can give me a clue, having explored and tried many fixes without success, please.
I use Outlook for email.
My ISP is BT.
I have four POP email accounts/addresses which I run via my website host.
I have four email accounts/addresses which are 'btinternet.com'.
The first four use the BT outgoing server and the website host incoming server.
The BT accounts use BT for both incoming and outgoing servers.
A 'send/receive' (automatic every 30 minutes is scheduled for all eight)
All the settings appear to be correct and for several years the set-up has worked successfully without any major problems.
Suddenly for the last two weeks one of the first four accounts is giving me the error code 0x800CCC0F when receiving particularly when it is the automatic send/receive.
A manual send/receive rarely sees the problem, so it appears that a 30 minute time lapse is more likely to show up the error.
I would be most grateful if someone could throw some light on the issue (BT Help don't even understand the basic problem).

Thanks AL.

I see that one of the solutions that Microsoft suggest is to create a new profile pointing to the account. Is this one of the solutions that you have explored?

googling for outlook 0x800CCC0F shows it appears to be related to network issues. - microsoft - KB 813514

My first thoughts are possibly Anti-Virus or Firewall related as these often throw these sort of errors

Sorry...the Yep relates to all three of you that answered.

I have tried all these fixes, played around with firewall, turned off AV, am now currently trying 1 minute increase in 'time out' for the particular address in question.

The thing that puzzles me, is that for the four accounts running through my website host, the are all '@*****.co.uk' (in other words they are all the same apart from the '***@' bit and it is just one of them that is doing it).

I'm convinced its something to do with BT Yahoo mail system which basically enforces me to configure everything through them, because I need to use their outgoing server.
