[link to this post]

Hi All
Anyone had any positive or negative experience of using Clonezilla or other OS clone software?
Im looking for something to image the content of a 40Gb IDE hdd and then move the image on to a 320 Gb SATA hdd hence the question. TIA.

I clone my disk with casper.
They do a free trial but the trial doesn't do resizing. eg you will end up with a 40gig on the sata drive and 280 unpartitioned.
But in vista/ Windows 7 should be easy to resize it 320 under disk management.

HDClone has a free version but it is not open source. I've used it a couple of times and it does what it says on the tin.
