Problems with IE8

[link to this post]

Is it just me? or is anyone else had the same problems.

Just Installed Windows 7 Professional, I was using IE8 as my browser but was having a few problems.
When scrolling through pages and forums clicking on some links IE8 froze. Tried disabling add-ons and a few other things but no luck.

Now using Firefox and Google Chrome with no problems.

I am finding IE8 very hard going in 7 seems very buggy strange it was ok in Vista ?

No issues with FF or google chrome both are a hell of a lot faster.

Trying the new Opera later.

No troubles here with IE8 on Windows 7 64-bit. It flies and seems to be very stable.

Same here. Lots of problems with IE8 are caused by third-party software like pop-up blockers and web security agents that are superfluous to IE8 because it already incorporates them.

Could well be the explanation. It's always been true of Windows that many of the problems with it are actually problems with third-party drivers or badly written programs. That's the price you pay for a relatively open system as opposed to the closed-shop approach of Apple.
