Firefox Puzzle.

[link to this post]

Here's a conundrum for you. Latest FF 3.5 on two machines both with Aero Fox 3.5.2 theme on XP. One machine you highlight the address bar and it's a full highlight when you select all and second machine it will only grey the letters in the address bar, yet if I switch to default theme full highlight comes back, yet Aero Fox themes are identical.

Have tried re-install but suspect something in data which I don't want to lose on either machine, also happens on other themes from same coder but not on first machine. crazy It used to be ok but something has changed. frown

Here's pics

Machine 1 Full Highlight

Machine 2 Letters Greyed

Machine 2 Default Theme

Help! Just a niggle I know but would like to sort it.

Try creating a new firefox profile on machine 2 with aerofox enabled.. You should be able to work out if its theme related or profile related ...

Thanks, that's interesting the behaviour is the same under a new profile so it must be something in the global settings affecting the theme. All ideas on a postcard?

Edit: setting up a fresh version of FF in a virtual machine shows the same behaviour so no idea what is different on machine 1.

Have been on to the developer of the FF theme and he's aware of the problem. Apparently it's a Windows Theme problem. Machine 2 has the Royale Theme but if you change back to the standard XP theme and select the silver version the problem is fixed. Machine 1 is using a Zune Theme so apparently that is ok too.

Developer is going to fix it soon so just wait for an update. Thanks all.
