Sorry had to add. I'm already using 64bit on Vista HP. Curious to find out if it is actually quicker with applications.

If it ran out of steam ages ago don't add any more.

yes I Also got a fair bit cached. It should if doing its job properly use cache instead of pageing.

Now let me think. Both Vista and 7 are 32 or 64 bit therefore all previous applies.

A rather simplistic viewpoint. Vista and 7 are not equivalent and, IMO, Microsoft have made a better job of 64-bit in 7 than they did in Vista or XP.
