Outlook 2010 printing oddities

[link to this post]

From time to time I print a monthly calendar from Outlook. Useful to keep in pocket.

Just tried to print a 2 month calendar, from Sunday 1st August to Thursday 30th September in monthly style. But try as I may I cannot get it to print the events for Sunday 1st August.

The preview, based on the dates above, starts on Monday 2nd August, no sign of the Sunday. The fact that it needs a week row on it's own is irrelevant as there is a blank row at the bottom of the print. Try changing the dates to 30th July and it now has 3 pages, 1 each for July, Agust and September. But schedule for Sunday 1st August is not on any of them. The July one finishes showing schedules on 31st July, the August one starts, as before, at 2nd August.

I should add that I've set the font size to 7pt, so it gives me 6 week rows.

Very odd.

Also I notice that it no longer gives a mini-calendar to use when choosing the date range. Outlook 2003 (and earlier IIRC) did. But seemingly 2010. Ah well, that's progress frown

Just tried it on outlook 2010 here. The 1/8 appears on the july printout. but is shaded out. And doesn't appear on august at all. So, can confirm it looks like a bug.

UPDATE: If you set the first day of the week to sunday in options then it seems to work ok. So, possible workaround for the bug?

UPDATE2: Happens any month where the 1st is a Sunday so will be in May 2011 and Jan 2012 as well. But as it is about once a year (although 3 times in 2012!) change the start of the week day to sunday, do the print and then change it back

Thanks Ian, will have a play.

I've now found this link which suggests the problem was in 2007 as well, and still hasn't been fixed.
