For some time I've used Belarc Advisor. Wondering whether there is better stuff out there, e.g. WinAudit.
Any views, experiences?

No, although I haven't used SIW, I've found Belarc very useful in the past when about to install on a new partition ("now, what software did I have?"). Belarc just compiles a complete list of hardware and software. Hardly snake oil.
