Dragging down (or across) in Excel:
Numbers: just drag -get all the same; ctl-drag -get increasing sequence.
Dates: just drag -get increasing sequence; ctl-drag -get all the same.
Text ending with numeric: as for dates.

Huh! One (sorry, I) would expect it to be consistent and either increase the sequence by holding CTL or just copy, for BOTH numbers AND dates

I'm not sure I understand that one. It seems to be saying that if you delete the formula, that being the data, in a total box, nothing is shown. If so then that surely is what one would expect.

Hopefully I've misunderstood the description and am just confused
