Create a Win7 bootable USB disk

Is it possible for to install Windows 7 on a usb hard disk and boot from that disk?

The reason for this is that I need to occasionally run Win 7 32-bit to use a SCSI scanner on my system, but I have Win 7 64-bit installed on my system.

I could repartition the disk to dual boot both versions of Win 7 but I'd rather not faff with all that if I can avoid it.

So, is it possible?

if you have win7 enterprise/ultimate you can boot from a native windows7 VHD file located on the same partition as the primary OS. do a google search, might just do what you need.
