Windows driver backup

hi does anyone use and can recommend a driver backup software package, i was told double driver was a good one to use??? The reason i need one is that im doing more and more installs and it would save me so much time to have all the drivers on a cd ready

I use Everest to catalogue what hardware is present and then download the latest copies. Backing up drivers from an infected machine is not a good idea - Even if these driver backup apps do work.

Not worth it. Win7 will take care of most of the drivers unless you're running XP. Always grab the latest drivers after a clean install.

Windows 7 can restore device drivers from restore points. Just be sure to create a restore point before installing any new hardware or software.

Except a clean Windows 7 install on my PC didn't install an network driver. If I hadn't done some preparatory contingency work and got some key drivers on a USB stick I wouldn't have been able to get on the internet to download a network card driver...

The on-board network driver is hardly obscure either.

There are or were several Win Driver collection DVD's available although I don't have links to any at the moment.
