Files appearing in two places

Hi.
Can you please help me out here.
For some reason my computer, Windows 7, has started acting odd. When I add a cd into 'my music' it also appears in 'my pictures'. If I delete it from 'my 'pictures' it goes from my music' as well.
Have I inadvertently changed a setting somewhere or whats going on here?

Sounds like they are both pointing to the same physical folder. No idea how this is managed in W7.

Try doing it via C:\Users\yourself\My Music rather than Desktop\yourself\My Music.

Well, yep that works. But if I click on the libraries option on the left there, the music shows up in the pictures again. Is there a way I can stop this?

In Vista if I right-click on Pictures I get a dialogue box wtih a Location tab and a Move button. Where is that pointing to? And the same for Music?

Thanks. I have just right-clicked and gone to properties which shows libraries locations. My pictures is ticked but also listed is public pictures, my music and public music. Clicking on Restore Defaults has removed the two music locations and now all is good. Because only the My Pictures had a tick by it I had not realised the full meaning of the window.

Ta for that. My brain told my fingers about the Properties step but they seem to be a little hard of hearing sometimes.
