opd file extension

Has anyone got an on how I can open a file with opd extension?

Try OpenOffice.

Omnipage pro from Scansoft (Scanning OCR programme) uses this extension.

It could be an OmniPage document.

If its not OmniPage, it could be Durango

You need a ICL One Per Desk Computer to open those; based on the Sinclair QL Home Computer.

Gosh, haven't thought about those for years. I had one (I worked for ICL) soon after they came out, amazing telephone capability - for the time - the WP and spreadsheet, and the email capability were basic though adequate. The microdrives were, to say the least, temperamental .

The picture shows one with a colour monitor, not that common, most including mine had a monochrome monitor. Lasted for years mine did.

There was a story, true or not I don't know, that pre-launch a delivery went to Australia for ICL staff there. Unfortunately it somehow was delivered to one of ICL's customers. They opened the crate and had a look and played with the OPDs and were so taken with them they contacted ICL Australia to place a large'ish order. Of course ICL Australia didn't know anything about them and hadn't seen any at the time.
