Nope, not with Win7. Its true for Vista and earlier.

There are versions for download on the MS website which only contain a specific version, so it is quite possible.

If you have a specially customised version its done with a control file that can be removed (ei.cfg)

I suspect all the media I've been testing (from PC makers, or from MSDN) don't have this file!

I had a look at that document and coudlnt see anything.

It may however be a windows XP as it has a document and settings folder. Did vista have D&S folder as I know 7 doesnt.

Thanks - that looks like it would do the job, however I now think this N150 is a windows xp OS and not 7 due to D&S folder frown

Is there anyway to legally re-image it with just the key?

My N150 is running Win7. You just need a Windows iso - the licence is tied to the device.
