I thought it was because I'm not using Windows. Changed my headers to pretend I was on a Windows machine but I still land on Firefox 12.0.

Simpler. I get offered 13.0 exe for download if I enable JavaScript.

I'm suspicious of that link... it also takes me to Firefox Setup 13.0.exe, but an exe file is not a great deal of use on a Mac. It also assumes I'm in the US.

Previously Mozilla have always offered me the Mac version of FF and know I'm in Europe... and if it can detect if Javascript is enabled it should be able to work out which OS being used, the main page does.

Maybe I'm just being more paranoid than usual, but I'd suggest anyone using Windows takes care before downloading it.

Correct link would be http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/?WT.mc_id=...

It's still beta though and I've had many problems with firefox, so much so that I mainly use chrome now.

Me to, well a chrome clone.

the problem I have is why is there no 64 bit version of chromium? There is not really a official 64 bit version of Firefox, only clones, like Palemoon.

64bit machines have been around for a while now and with vista and windows 7 having 64 bit versions, is it not about time 64bit was supported more from the browsers producers?

No excuse about plugins not working, there is a 64bit flash and Java and when I tried Palemoon 64 bit all the plugins I wanted to use would work.

The link itself is clean but I get no download offered. Attacking it from the home page I get offered v12 from "mirror.nl.leaseweb.net".

Agreed, but did Mozilla put that page there or did somebody else? The lack of OS detection isn't like Mozilla...
but I get no download offered.
Is Javascript enabled, as John found earlier?

Ditto, for multiple languages ond OS's. That's what makes me wonder if it's a genuine Mozilla page- no link to it or even mention of it. Too many inconsistencies for my liking frown
