I got it from the Filehippo Software Update utility.

Seems a tad better than 12 to be honest.

I rarely use Chrome myself - always been a Firefox guy - but it all about personal preference smile

This being a windows forum should be a clue.
Possibly, for the gullible. I doubt if Mozilla would take more notice of the referrer link than of the OS in the request header.
Obviously too hard for MAC users. Anyway, I'm sure it will be on the Moz homepage later on today.

When opening a new tab do you get 9 thumbnails - I just get blank ones

I get www.google.co.uk (my default tab setting).

Ahh, I see. No, I'm still using FF5. Waiting for the FF13 reviews to get going before jumping in.

What youll see on the New Tab page of Firefox 13 are your most-visited sites displayed with large thumbnails, reducing the time it takes to type or navigate to these pages. This data comes directly from your browsing history: its the same information that helps Firefoxs Awesome Bar give suggestions when you type. Or, if you want to go somewhere new, the URL bar is still targeted when you type on a New Tab page. If you want to hide your top sites permanently or temporarily a grid icon in the top right wipes the new tab screen to blank.

I realise that but in my case they are blank squares - goes away to check my history settings

There's also the product=firefox-13.0&os=win&lang=en-US overriding location/language autodetection thus explaining both oddities smile
