Thanks, this sounds plausible -
The thumbnails on the about:newtab page are generated from the cache, so if the page is not in the cache or otherwise can't be rendered as a PNG image then you will get an empty box.
Do not use Clear Recent History to clear data when you close Firefox.
If there is no history then you get an about:newtab page with empty boxes.

I'm loving this new version.

I've got it - but Littlefox is not compatible, which I miss. I like the toolbars etc all minimised

I might give it a try when it's properly released... I've always found FF to be rather "clunky" and lacking in facilities that I like* compared to Opera (cba'd with add-ons, sorry Mick tongue).

Maybe this one will be better.

* the emphasis is on "I", others have their own preferences of course.

Ff used to be good up to around version 3, then after that it went belly up, version 4 was awful and that is why I decided to change browsers, i did try each new version of FF until they got to version 7 then I just got fed up the constant revisions and nothing changed.

FF takes ages to start upo, and seemed to get slower not faster, sure it may change with version 13, but it is too late now.

As for opera, never could get on with it, i wonder what facebook will do with it once they get hold of it? No doubt they will change it so facebook is incorporated in it.

That's the one I'm using after upgrading from 3.6.

All my add ons work (after updating or using a similar one).
Tried 13, and found some of them didn't work.
CBA of going though same problems every 6 weeks.

So sticking to 10 until the next extended version comes out.
