What Mail Client with Win7?

Was told at a party today that no eMail client is provided with Win7 and you had to buy Access. What a swizz! Is this true?

Can't you use Win Mail or Win Live Mail clients?

Just to add Microsoft Access is a database program not an email client

Windows 7 has an email client included: See folder \Program Files\Windows Mail\ Within this folder there is a HIDDEN file "WinMail.exe". This is the well-known "Windows Mail" from Vista. But this program doesn't work. To get it work you need to replace the file "msoe.dll" in this folder with a version of Vista (you need the same version from Vista: 32-bit or 64-bit). To replace "msoe.dll" in Windows 7 you need to take ownership of "msoe.dll".

I use Thunderbird too, I have got it on my work pc too. Outlook express just does not cut it and could not figure out how to sent with microsofts offering

I might have remembered the name wrong, but I'm sure he said one of M$s Office programs. I expected him to say Outlook but I'm sure it wasn't that one. Nor was it Excel or PowerPoint! So it must have been Access . Of course he could have meant Office.

Outlook is the email client in office, ok it is a bit more than that, but it can do emails.
Livemail is just a updated version of outlook express, I always hated outlook express.

Use thunderbird or Eudora, which is now based on thunderbird. i myself use incredimail.

You could always try EMClient It is a very good simile of Outlook and can import Outlook folders. The free version can have up to 2 accounts and there is a paid for version with unlimited accounts. It works very quickly and is stable,
