well I cant find on google a changelog for this new firefox and only knew about it after reading your post.

seems mozilla dont respect the importance of publishing changes anymore.

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/18.2/releasenotes/

you should have gave a url that fails to test on.

I agree - I am having no https problems with Firefox 18.0.2 (note: it's not 18.2).

I have seen the error reported earlier in the thread with earlier versions of Firefox. I found that waiting a second and pushing F5 to refresh made the problem go away.

I figured out the reason for it, wasn't firefox, but my AV ESET SS V6 it scans HTTPS and SSL certs, Firefox loads secure pages fine if i exclude it from SSL scanning, or exclude the cert from being scanned,
Version 5 has the same issue when using XPSP3 but would work on win7 sp1 ? But SSL scanning has worked without issue untill the other day, looks like they have broken it with an update

ok yeah and here we are then some release notes.

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/18.0.2/releasen...

18.0.1 had some http proxy changes (tommy using proxy?), nothing in 18.0.2 that should have affected https at all.

Disable insecure content loading on HTTPS pages through an about:config pref
There is this but I think this was in 18.0.

Not using a proxy,HTTPS web pages are once again loading normally, but no longer being scanned by eset smart security , somehow eset broke what they had frecently fixed via an update unless it's a bug,
