"dir" in a command prompt is the simplest way to do a directory listing. Why use a web browser for such a simple task?

Why bother with all this browser-specific messing-about, which only tells you how many folders at top level, when you can directly use the Properties of Windows Explorer to tell you everything about the WinSxS folder including :
